Jamal Musiala decided to get a head start. While the majority of the Bayern Munich squad will only officially return to training this Saturday, the German international (40 caps) has already restarted his preparation at the Säbener Straße training center. Six months after his serious injury, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder carried out strengthening and stability exercises before continuing with an individual session on the pitch, a sign of a gradual but controlled return.

Victim of a serious accident on July 5 during the Club World Cup in the United States, Musiala suffered a fracture of his left fibula as well as a dislocation of his ankle after a clash with Gianluigi Donnarumma against PSG. Already partially returned to collective training in mid-December, the Bavarian is getting closer to a full return. Bayern, Bundesliga leader under Vincent Kompany, will resume collective training on Sunday before relaunching their season on January 11 at home against Wolfsburg.
