6 months and then gone. Having left to take the plunge into the Premier League last summer, Arnaud Kalimuendo has not yet found his happiness there, at least not football-wise. After a season with 17 goals in Ligue 1 with Rennes, the 23-year-old striker hoped to confirm with Nottingham Forest, joined for around 30 million euros, at the same time as ex-Strasbourg Dilane Bakwa.

Except that the transplant is slow to take for the player trained at PSG, who has still not scored a single goal in 8 championship matches (he scored 2 in C4 against Malmö and Utrecht). In recent weeks, several clubs had expressed interest with the aim of relaunching it. This was the case for Nice before the arrival of Wahi, but also for Paris FC, which seems to have turned to other avenues since.

Kalimuendo to replace Wahi at Frankfurt

A priori, the ex-Rennais should ultimately not return to Ligue 1, since he is today on the verge of joining Germany. As revealed Sky Sport Germanyeverything is complete for the arrival of Kalimuendo in Frankfurt, who has just lost Elye Wahi, loaned to OGC Nice for the second part of the season. According to the German media, Frankfurt and Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement around a loan with an option to buy for the former international hopeful.

Kalimuendo will undergo his medical examination this week, before committing to the German club. At the same time, he could discover the Champions League games, while Frankfurt is fighting for its place in the top 24 (the German club is currently 30th). 7th in the Bundesliga, the German club also aims to requalify in C1 next season.
