Philippe Diallo’s lovely tribute to Jean-Louis Gasset

A few days after the death of Jean-Louis Gasset, the world of French football paid him a final tribute during his funeral organized this Wednesday, December 31 at the Pérols exhibition center, near Montpellier. More than a thousand people gathered to pay tribute to the memory of the former coach, a respected and appreciated figure in the footballing landscape. Among the many personalities present were the president of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, who came to testify to the importance of Gasset for the French institution.

On this occasion, the president of the FFF wanted to highlight the legacy left by Jean-Louis Gasset. “He means a lot to us”he declared according to West Francein reference to his career, his commitment and his role in the development of French football. Many football players were present to say goodbye to him, managers like Pablo Longoria or Laurent Nicollin, but also former collaborators and players, like Laurent Blanc, Aimé Jacquet or even Loïc Perrin and Wahbi Khazri. A ceremony full of emotion, like the lasting mark left by Gasset in French football.
