Michel Platini does not rule out a return to the world of football, even if he remains cautious about his concrete intentions. During the announcement of a documentary devoted to his career on Canal+the former captain of the Blues and president of UEFA confided: “Will I ever return to the world of football? Perhaps, in that of clubs and institutions, no. My dream is to give more power to footballers”. For Platini, there is too big a gap between those who lead and those who play, with according to him “too much politics and opportunism”an observation which explains his caution regarding an official return to clubs or authorities.
Furthermore, the former emblematic number 10 of AS Nancy-Lorraine, AS Saint-Étienne and Juventus Turin, author of 353 career goals, sees in this documentary a way to share his passion for football with the public: “I hope that through this film, I will make all these people love my passion who perhaps did not know this football of the time”. Clearly, the French legend is not closing the door to football…
