This Saturday, the traditional Bundesliga multiplex returned for the last time of the year. An ideal time for German teams to strike a big blow before the winter break. Courtier in the Champions League, Stuttgart hosted Hoffenheim, fourth at kick-off. And after a hard-fought match, neither team was able to make the difference. Even though the locals had the best chances of the match, they were not able to make the difference and score. Until the end, luck turned their back on them like the goal denied to Deniz Undav at the very end of the match for an offside position (90+2nd). With this draw, the two teams stagnate: Hoffenheim remains fourth, Stuttgart sixth.
The multiplex match took place in Wolfsburg. Quickly led by Fribourg’s opener, the Wolves came back to their senses and equalized thanks to Pejcinovic (1-1, 13th) who scored twice after returning from the locker room (1-2, 49th). Despite Grifo’s equalizer from the penalty spot, Wolfsburg took the lead thanks to Pejcinovic, author of a hat-trick (3-2, 69th). Finally, Friborg turned the tide with an own goal before Scherhant allowed his team to take the definitive advantage straight away (78th). Wolfsburg still has a small four point lead over the barrage. Friborg is ninth. In the other matches, Eintracht Frankfurt stalled on the Hamburg pitch (1-1). Union Berlin won at the end of the match in Cologne (0-1, 90+2nd) and are eighth. Augsburg and Werder Bremen parted good friends (0-0).
