Very active this summer on the transfer market, Liverpool could do it again this winter. Indeed, during the last transfer window, the English champion invested more than 482 million euros to secure the services of six new recruits: Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitiké, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni.

These movements were made possible thanks to the good management of the finances of the Mersey club, which also recovered more than 219 million euros by offloading several players from its squad. But as the month of January looms, rumors are rife regarding a new move into action by the Reds.

City and United on the lookout

And according to information from Fabrizio Romano this Monday, Liverpool have indeed ticked the name of Antoine Semenyo (8 goals in 16 Premier League matches). The Ghanaian striker, under contract with Bournemouth until June 2030, has a release clause set at 75 million euros, which will be activated from January 1 until the 10.

The residents of Anfield are not alone on the file. Manchester City and Manchester United are also interested in the 25-year-old right winger, who is expected to decide on his future in the coming weeks. Isak’s recent injury should undoubtedly encourage LFC to consider recruiting a new offensive weapon.

The transfer specialist specifies, however, that the Liverpool leaders have so far only had one call with Semenyo, with no further follow-up since then. Finally, Tottenham, previously listed among the contenders, has left the race.
