AC Milan conceded another frustrating draw at home against Sassuolo (2-2) during the 15th day of Serie A. The Rossoneri were however quickly trapped by Ismaël Koné’s opener in the 13th minute, the former OM player taking advantage of a space in the middle to surprise Maignan. Milan took time to react before coming back thanks to Davide Bartesaghi, scoring in the 34th minute, then regaining the advantage just after the break, the young defender scoring a double with a precise strike (47th) to reward a period of Milanese domination.
But Sassuolo refused to give in and were rewarded at the end of the match. On a quick transition, Armand Laurienté, the French winger who passed through Ligue 1, put the two teams back on level terms in the 77th minute, cooling San Siro. Despite a final push from Massimiliano Allegri’s men, Milan failed to make the difference, letting two precious points slip away in the race for first places, while Sassuolo left with a deserved draw at the end of an open and rhythmic match.
