The last meeting of this 14th day of the Bundesliga pitted Werder Bremen (12th) against Stuttgart (7th). Swept by Bayern Munich on the previous day, the teammates of Bilal El Khannouss and Deniz Undav wanted to get their heads back in the league, especially as they could steal sixth place in Frankfurt, if successful at the Weserstadion this Sunday.

It was not until the last five minutes of the first half that the scoreboard cleared. After a very good cross from Jamie Leweling, El Khannouss placed a nice header to beat Backhaus and open the scoring for the visitors (40th, 0-1). Four minutes later, Leweling turned into a scorer, sending a missile to shoot the opposing goal and allow his team to make the break (44th, 0-2). Things did not get better after the break for Horst Steffen’s Werder, reduced to ten after Coulibaly’s second yellow (59th). The German Lewelling continued his recital and offered another decisive pass this time to Deniz Undav (79th, 0-3). At the end of the game, Chris Fürich signed the coup de grace (90th + 7, 0-4). With this large victory (0-4), Sébastien Hoeness’s men are sixth in the Bundesliga standings.
