Davide Nicola’s men dominated the match thanks to a solid 3-5-2 organization and rapid attacks on the wings. The first goal came in the 53rd minute thanks to Bonazzoli, who converted a penalty obtained by his team. Later, Sanabria sealed the score in the 78th minute, securing a clear and deserved victory for Cremonese.
Lecce, led by Eusebio Di Francesco and aligned in 4-2-3-1, tried to create danger notably through Berisha and Ramadani, but the Lombard defense remained perfectly organized, limiting the dangerous opportunities.
