Cremonese confirmed their current good form by winning (2-0) against Lecce at the Stadio Giovanni Zini during the 14th day of Serie A. Davide Nicola’s men dominated the match thanks to a solid 3-5-2 organization and rapid attacks on the wings. The first goal came in the 53rd minute thanks to Bonazzoli, who converted a penalty obtained by his team. Later, Sanabria sealed the score in the 78th minute, securing a clear and deserved victory for Cremonese.
Lecce, led by Eusebio Di Francesco and aligned in 4-2-3-1, tried to create danger notably through Berisha and Ramadani, but the Lombard defense remained perfectly organized, limiting the dangerous opportunities. This success allows Cremonese to consolidate its position in the first part of the table with this 9th position and to gain confidence before the next meetings, while Lecce, which falls to 14th place, remains in a delicate period and will have to quickly recover in order not to move away from its maintenance objectives.
