Rodrygo’s historic drought with Real Madrid

Rodrygo definitely can’t do it anymore at Real Madrid. Substitute during the Merengues’ draw at Girona (1-1) on Sunday in La Liga, the Brazilian international (37 caps) came into play in the 72nd minute in place of Aurélien Tchouameni. Almost transparent for more than a quarter of an hour, the Osasco native went a 30th game without scoring with Real.

An incredible and above all historic shortage, since it is a record within the Merengue club. Rodrygo’s last official club goal dates from March 4 against Atlético de Madrid, in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League (victory, 2-1), i.e. 271 days. An eternity for the ex-Santos player, who is not part of Xabi Alonso’s plans this season and who is often associated with a departure.
