First through Albert-Mboyo Sambi Lokonga (1-1, 63rd) before the young defender, Luka Vuskovic, gave his team the advantage (2-1, 75th).
At the end of the match, new arrival Justin Njinmah put the two teams back on level terms (2-2, 78th) but the hero of the afternoon was Yussuf Yurary Poulsen. Coming into play a minute earlier, the experienced Danish striker made the difference on his first ball to offer victory to the Hamburg players (3-2, 84th). With this success, Hamburg moves up to 13th place. Werder are 11th.
