During the Media Day organized by Paris Saint-Gergamin this Thursday, the French international, Zaire-Emery, spoke about his chances of going to the World Cup with Didier Deschamps’ Blues: “the draw and the hope of going to the World Cup? There is always hope, of course I hope to be there. I’m going to watch (the draw), and it doesn’t matter who the opponent is really, all we want is to play the matches and be there. I hope it will and we must first have a good season, I will put all the chances on my side”

A strong statement, but quite down to earth from the 19-year-old Parisian midfielder who nevertheless has every chance of flying away with the France group for this 2026 World Cup. Even if he is playing as a right back in recent weeks to replace the injury of Achraf Hakimi at PSG, Didier Deschamps is counting on him and indeed called him up during his last meeting in November.
