Bologna hosted Cremonese this evening for the last match of the 13th day of Serie A. Fifth in the standings at kick-off, the Emilia-Romagna club had the opportunity to steal fourth place from AS Roma, after the Giallorossi’s misstep against Napoli (0-1), and even to come back one step behind the Rossonero leader. But it didn’t really go as planned against the 12th in the championship.
The visitors suffered in four minutes after goals from Martin Payero (31st) and Jamie Vardy (35th). Riccardo Orsolini allowed his team to reduce the gap just before half-time (45th + 3), but Vardy scored twice five minutes after returning from the locker room (50th). A sufficient advantage to allow Cremonense to win and climb to eleventh place. For its part, Bologna misses a big opportunity to enter the top 4 and even loses a place (6th).
