Florian Thauvin, it’s validated!

This is the great story of the start of the season in Ligue 1. After PSG’s defeat in Monaco (0-1), RC Lens took advantage of OM’s misstep against Toulouse (2-2) to move to the top of the rankings, a first in more than 20 years.

The Sang et Or won – in pain – on the Angers field (1-2), notably with a double from Florian Thauvin. The French international is logically honored by the Team, with his photo on the front page.

With a score of 8/10, the best of the weekend, tied with Lorient’s Soumano and Abergel, Monegasque Salisu and Brest’s Magnetti, Thauvin is part of the typical team designated by the daily. This is the second time this season that the former Marseillais appears in this eleven.

Thauvin, yet not the best Lensois

Note that if Thauvin attracts the spotlight, due to his record and his status, he is undoubtedly not the most consistent player in Lens this season. With an average score of 5.62, he is notably ahead of Malang Sarr (6.15), Samson Baidoo (6.08), Mamadou Sangaré (5.92) and Adrien Thomasson (5.88).

RC Lens is also the team with the best average of the season (5.53), while Pierre Sage is the best evaluated coach (6.29), quite clearly ahead of Bruno Genesio (6.00) and Roberto De Zerbi (5.64).
