Before kick-off between Bayern Munich and Sankt Pauli this Saturday, the Allianz Arena offered Kingsley Coman a moment of farewell worthy of his time in Bavaria. Three and a half months after his departure for Al-Nassr, the French international returned to greet his supporters one last time, greeted by a huge ovation. Visibly touched, he received a frame retracing his decade in Munich as well as flowers given to his daughter, before exchanging a hug with his former coach Vincent Kompany.

Arriving in 2015, Coman left his mark at Bayern: 339 matches, 72 goals, 71 assists and an impressive collection of trophies, including nine German championship titles and a Champions League. But it is above all his goal in the C1 final in 2020 against PSG which will remain as his strongest legacy. A page is turning, and the Bavarian public recalled it with emotion: ten years later, “King” remains part of the club’s history.
