Michel Platini has been completely cleared. At the end of a procedure which lasted almost ten years and which deprived him of the presidency of Fifa, Michel Platini was definitively acquitted by Swiss justice last March in a case which banned him from world football. The former number 10 of the Blues was prosecuted for fraud, breach of trust and unfair management.

“My honor has returned. The relentless pursuit of Fifa and some Swiss federal prosecutors for ten years is now over. (…) I have known the story from the beginning. I know it was a story to prevent me from being president of Fifa », declared the former boss of UEFA to the press when he left the Extraordinary Court of Appeal in Muttenz (Switzerland).

Not totally closed to the idea of returning to the world of football, “Platoche” had been the subject of rumors after being acquitted. His name has notably circulated around Juventus Turin, which has been in difficulty for several years. “ The end of Platini’s nightmare coincided with the beginning of the fans’ dream: to see him again at Juventus, in a coaching role, to have him as a representative of the club, defender of the faith », wrote Tuttosport a few months ago.

Platini celebrates 40 years of the intercontinental title

He notably won a Champions League (1985), two Italian championship titles (1984 and 1986), an Italian Cup (1983) and three Ballon d’Ors (1983, 1984 and 1985). Enough to forever mark the history of the Turin club.

The French legend, now aged 70, also won the Intercontinental Cup in 1985 with the Bianconeri. And to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this coronation, Juve decided to invite its former number 10 and his former teammates this Thursday for a special visit to the training center.
