Manuel Pellegrini extends to Betis

Former coach of Manchester City and Real Madrid, Manuel Pellegrini has sat on the bench of Real Betis Balompié for several seasons. The 72-year-old Chilean technician feels very good there. He also extended his lease this Friday.

“Real Betis Balompié and Manuel Pellegrini have extended their contracts for one season. The Chilean coach will therefore lead the Betis team until June 2027. Pellegrini joined the green and white team in the summer of 2020. Since his arrival, Real Betis have won the Copa del Rey in 2022 and have participated in five consecutive European competitions, reaching the historic UEFA Conference League final this year. Among his achievements, Manuel Pellegrini became the coach who has managed the most matches of the team in the first division and in Europe, in addition to holding the record for the most victories at the helm of Real Betis.
