Last night, Bayern Munich lost the first match of their season against Arsenal (1-3). A defeat which ended an 18-match unbeaten run. After the meeting, a journalist from TNT Sports took advantage of having Joshua Kimmich in an interview to ask the German midfielder if the Gunners had been the most difficult opponent of the season for Bayern (who have already faced and beaten Chelsea and PSG). And the German’s response is worth the detour.

“No, I don’t think so. I think PSG were the most difficult opponents because of their way of playing football. Arsenal is completely different. They depend on set pieces, they love to play long balls, they love to fight on second balls. So it was a completely different match. Against PSG, it was more of a football match. Today (yesterday, editor’s note), it wasn’t really football, but more game management, duels. Arsenal did this very well. Their victory was deserved, we must learn after this match”. The Gunners will appreciate…
