Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane created a heated controversy in England after their violent altercation during the match against Manchester United (0-1). The scene, totally improbable, led to the expulsion of the Senegalese for having slapped… his own teammate, following a trivial incident of play. The next day, Gueye wanted to calm things down by publicly assuming his responsibility and apologizing in order to put an end to the controversy.
This Thursday, the affair took a lighter turn. In a video posted on Thierno Barry’s Instagram story, we see Gueye and Keane entering a sort of mini-octagon installed at the Everton training ground. The two players, smiling, bicker gently before miming a face-to-face combat… which ends with a hug, symbol of total reconciliation.
