FC Barcelona’s European campaign is still chaotic. With two wins, a draw and a defeat on the clock after the first four days of the Champions League league phase, the Blaugrana traveled to Chelsea this Tuesday. Everything went wrong in the first half with Jules Koundé opening the score against his side.
After a goal denied to Enzo Fernandez for offside (24th), the Blues took advantage of a very involuntary blunder by Jules Koundé to take the lead.
The affair was decided on a corner kick played at three by the Londoners. Marc Cucurella crossed on the ground for a partner. Confusion in the Barcelona defense and it was therefore Jules Koundé who pushed the ball into his own net (1-0, 27th).
Koundé and Barça’s defense in difficulty
A very bad action for the French defender who has been losing momentum for several weeks. And things did not get better on the Barça defense side since Ronald Araujo had the bad idea of being sanctioned twice. Two yellow cards turned red just before the break.
Enough to open up space for the Chelsea players who were quick to take advantage and score more goals in the second half.
