OM’s new offensive reinforcement, Angel Gomes, spoke about his state of mind and his first steps with the Phocaeans in front of the press this Monday.

During an ambitious summer transfer window, Olympique de Marseille has secured the services of Angel Gomes. Free after the end of his contract with LOSC, the English midfielder has committed to the Marseille club until June 2028.

After a mixed start, the former Mastiff has been going through a calmer period in recent weeks. The Londoner had not escaped criticism from observers,
some pointing to him as the only recruit whose acclaim seemed to raise questions.

“I’m still adapting”

At a press conference this Monday, the 25-year-old playmaker spoke about his situation. “I feel good. I am always adapting, not necessarily in relation to the championship, but in terms of the team and the environment. It’s really different. I feel good, I’m happy. I feel at home here thanks to the staff and the players”said the player trained at Manchester United.

In four months spent at Canebière, Angel Gomes played 15 matches in all competitions, scoring 3 goals. He was started 11 times by his coach Roberto De Zerbi.
