Former goalkeeper Lorenzo Buffon dies

Italian football mourns the death of Lorenzo Buffon, former goalkeeper for AC Milan, Genoa and the Italian selection, who died at the age of 95 following a heart attack. First cousin of Gianluigi Buffon’s grandfather, he won four league titles with AC Milan (1951, 1955, 1957 and 1959) and also played with Inter Milan. With the Italian selection, he played 16 matches, including the 1962 World Cup.

AC Milan wanted to pay tribute to him on its social networks. “His iron hands made AC Milan a protagonist of countless victories in the 1950s.
