Two months after the controversial victory of Olympique de Marseille over Paris SG at the end of the 5e day of Ligue 1, the two rival clubs will meet in Kuwait at the beginning of January for the traditional Champions Trophy. But another meeting will see the Marseillais welcome the Parisians from December 7.
On Sunday, Mohamed Henni and the Parisian Immigrant announced on Twich the holding of a meeting between former legends of OM and PSG. The match will take place at the Stade Vélodrome in a Kings League format with the Phocea Legends (OM) on one side and the King Capitale (PSG) on the other.
Didier Drogba returns to the Vélodrome
The Marseille team will be led by Eric Di Meco, winner of the Champions League with OM in 1993, and will rely in particular on Souleymane Diawara, Mamadou Niang, Dimitri Payet, Adil Rami, Taye Taïwo, Samir Nasri and Didier Drogba.
On the Parisian side, Luis Fernandez will be on the bench, and the 1984 European champion will be able to count on Jérémy Ménez, Mevlüt Erding, Christophe Jallet, Kevin Gameiro, Jay-Jay Okocha, Mohamed Sissoko and David Ginola.
But the show won’t just be between these old legends. The event will indeed give rise to various concerts including those of Alonzo and Soolking.
