After Arsenal’s crushing victory against Tottenham, Eberechi Eze’s XXL performance won the admiration of former Liverpool glory Jamie Carragher.

Arsenal won the North London derby against Tottenham (4-1) this Sunday in the Premier League. During this match played at the Emirates Stadium, Eberechi Eze, the Gunners’ new recruit, particularly stood out.

The English attacking midfielder scored a resounding hat-trick for the English vice-champions. A scathing response to the words of Spurs coach Thomas Frank, who quipped: “Who is Eze? ”, and an additional way of silencing his detractors.

“I clearly underestimated the importance of this signing”

Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool defender, admitted to having been wrong about the Eze case. As a reminder, the current leader of the Premier League had invested 78 million euros, including bonus, to snatch it from Crystal Palace last summer.

“When Eze arrived, I thought he might not be a game changer. My apologies. I clearly underestimated the importance of this signing and he seems to be able to make the difference for his team, and lead them to the title”reacted the consultant on SkySports.
