Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has publicly expressed his regret for overreacting after the defeat to Newcastle.

Manchester City saw their streak of four consecutive victories end this Sunday in the Premier League, beaten by Newcastle United (1-2). This result, far from doing the business of the citizen club, relegated to third place seven points behind leader Arsenal, also aroused the frustration of Pep Guardiola.

The Skyblues coach was seen on the pitch attacking a cameraman who was filming him after the final whistle. A gesture for which the Spanish technician quickly apologized and which he commented on to the press.

“I’m not perfect”

“I apologized. I feel embarrassed and ashamed when I see this. I apologized a second later. I am who I am, even after 1000 matches, I’m not perfect and I realized a huge mistake. I defend my team and my club, that’s a certainty”recognized the Catalan.

Guardiola and his gang meet this Tuesday against Bayer Leverkusen at home. Five days later, City will host Leeds United in the Premier League.
