Serie A: AS Roma temporarily takes the lead by dominating Cremonese

AS Roma won with authority on the Cremonese pitch by winning (1-3) on the 12th day of Serie A, confirming its rise to power under Gian Piero Gasperini. The Giallorossi quickly took control of the match thanks to Matías Soulé, perfectly served to open the scoring with a precise strike (17th). In the second half, Rome accelerated: Lewis Ferguson doubled the lead with a powerful shot in the heart of the area (64th), before Wesley closed the match by scoring the third goal straight away (69th), validating a collective demonstration.

Totally overwhelmed, the Cremonese never knew how to worry a self-confident Roma who were well in place until added time and this goal from Folino which counted for nothing (90th + 3). With this clear success, the Romans continue their positive series and consolidate their place at the top of the ranking by temporarily taking the lead in the championship, carried by a Soulé-Ferguson-Wesley trio in great form. Davide Nicola’s Cremonese suffered a hard blow in its very good start to the season.
