Moment of embarrassment for Real Madrid during its annual general meeting. While the Merengue club broadcast a video in tribute to personalities from the world of football who died in 2025, and in particular to Diogo Jota and his brother, André Silva, an error crept into the editing. The image displayed was not that of André Silva, the missing brother of Diogo Jota, but that of… the Elche player, André Da Silva. A confusion immediately noted and immediately corrected by the club.

“Real Madrid CF apologizes to Elche CF and its player André da Silva for mistakenly including his image in the club’s video tribute, instead of that of André Silva, brother of Liverpool player Diogo Jota. We regret this incident”indicated the club to quickly put an end to the controversy.
