PL: Aston Villa wins against Leeds thanks to Morgan Rogers

For the 12th day of the Premier League, Leeds hosted Aston Villa at Elland Road this Sunday. On the local side, Lucas Perri and Nmecha started while Kamara and Dibu Martinez started for Unai Emery’s team. And the match quickly increased in intensity. Indeed, Leeds started perfectly by opening the score in the 8th minute thanks to Nmecha. The Leeds men took the lead: 1-0.

But the second act completely changed the situation. Unai Emery, former PSG coach, adjusted his team with several decisive changes. Barely back from the locker room, English nugget Rogers equalized in the 46th minute (1-1). Full of confidence, he then gave the Villans the advantage in the 75th minute, sealing the comeback (1-2). A valuable victory which allows Aston Villa to temporarily climb to 4th place in the Premier League. Leeds, for their part, remains stuck in 18th position, in the red zone.
