After the defeat against Bologna before the international break, Naples reacted perfectly on Saturday by winning 3-1 against Atalanta, thanks to an almost perfect first half which allowed them to temporarily regain the lead in the championship. The team turns the page on the previous two tense weeks and regains confidence before Tuesday’s Champions League match against Qarabag, surprising outsiders in the competition.

After the match, coach Antonio Conte responded to the criticism received after the Bologna setback and recalled the strength of the bond that unites him with his players. “These are aspects that mainly concern those who are on the outside and who do not know the reality of the facts, nor the very strong relationship that I have with my players. We always try to tell each other the truth; I am a very transparent man, without a mask, and that does not please everyone, but I was taught honesty and to intervene when necessary. The media is right to talk, but we must continue to work. Now we have to play on Tuesday against Qarabag, the revelation team of the Champions League. We need to recover our energy to prepare for this match.”explained the 56-year-old coach, reigning Italian champion with Napoli.
