Mason Greenwood confirms his status as a young talent at OM, with performances praised by his coach and observers.

More than a year after his arrival at Olympique de Marseille, Mason Greenwood has established himself as the number one offensive threat. After delivering a brilliant first exercise, the English striker is back with the same dynamic this season.

In 16 matches in all competitions, the former Manchester United member scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists. In his last two matches, he scored three goals, including a double against OGC Nice (5-1) this Friday in Ligue 1.

“A blessing of the game”

Greenwood even gets away with praise from Grégory Schneider, sports journalist for the daily Libération. “We can take it in any way possible, regret it, welcome it: Greenwood is a ball genius. Something else, what we tilt for. A blessing of the game. To watch, when you love football, it’s wonderful,” judges the L’Équipe consultant on x.

At the same time, his coach Roberto De Zerbi took stock of his attacker’s development. “He is progressing. I think it’s firstly mental, but also physical, with the sequence of matches. You can’t always offer the same intensity for ninety minutes. It’s up to us to manage it, but above all it’s up to him to want to make this effort”confided the Italian coach to journalists.
