Isack Hadjar did not shy away from his pleasure. Starting from eighth place on the starting grid, the Frenchman finished the Las Vegas Grand Prix this Sunday in the same position. He finally gained two places to move up to sixth after the disqualification of the two McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, due to a technical infraction.
The Racing Bulls driver thus finished in the points for the tenth time this season, bringing his total to 51 points after 22 Grands Prix. Enough to satisfy the 21-year-old driver, who believes that he could not do better given the lack of performance of his car.
“We lacked rhythm today (Saturday) so we have no regrets. We were perhaps too cautious in tire management, but in terms of strategy we did the right thing. We couldn’t do better than eighth today », declared the native of Paris in the mixed zone after the race.
Hadjar: “It will come to Qatar and Abu Dhabi”
And to continue: “ It’s a very positive weekend, I was competitive from the first practice sessions, we just lacked a bit of speed. But I think it will come to Qatar and Abu Dhabi, which are circuits that should suit our car better. »
Optimistic in view of the last two Grands Prix of the season, Isack Hadjar knows that he will play big. Indeed, Red Bull is waiting for these final two races to make their choice regarding Max Verstappen’s future teammate in 2026. And the Frenchman seems well placed to be the chosen one. It’s up to him to finish well now.
