Hugo Lloris, the breaking point

Los Angeles FC was defeated by the Vancouver Whitecaps last night in the semi-final of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer, the elite of North American football. The Californian franchise had however returned to 2-2 in regulation time after being led 0-2. In vain since the Canadians made the difference on penalties (4-3).

Author of a half-hearted match, with responsibility for the first opponent’s goal but also some well-made saves in the second half in particular, Hugo Lloris, the LAFC goalkeeper, did not have a lucky hand once again during the fateful session. A flaw that he already suffered when he watched over the cage of the France team.

Although he still repelled a shot on goal, the most capped Blues (145 caps) was unable to prevent the elimination of his team. And to express at the end of the meeting an enormous frustration with the playing conditions then suffered by the two teams concerned.

I want to be honest, I came to MLS because I still want to enjoy playing footballsaid the former Niçois and Lyonnais hotly at a press conference.

In the lower divisions in France there are synthetic pitches better than thiscontinued Hugo Lloris, particularly angry and bitter. I think MLS should think about it and so should the owner of Vancouver because we all love soccer and I think this stadium should have a better pitch… »
