This Saturday, for the 13th day of La Liga, Real Sociedad traveled to Osasuna for a second half of the table match. Real Sociedad is doing much better and remained on 6 games without defeat, while Osasuna remained one defeat (1-0) against Sevilla. Before the match, the two Spanish teams were only 2 points apart: 13 for the Basques against 11 for Alessio Lisci’s men.
The match swung in Osasuna’s favor shortly before the break, thanks to Catena’s opening goal in the 42nd minute. But upon returning from the locker room, Brais Méndez put La Real back on track by equalizing in the 52nd minute (1-1). Gonçalo Guedes, former PSG player, then gave Sociedad the lead again (1-2), before Ander Barrenetxea sealed the final score at 1-3 in the 82nd minute. Arguibide was even sent off in the 87th for Osasuna. In the La Liga standings, Real Sociedad moves up to 10th place, while Osasuna sits in 17th.
