The Girondins de Bordeaux are not doing too badly, after years of struggle. This Saturday, the Girondins won (0-2) at Moustoir against the Lorient reserve in N2. A sixth consecutive success for Bruno Irles’ men, who dream of moving up to National 1 (the third level) and a gradual return to the professional world.
The turning point came in the 30th minute, with the expulsion of former Marseillais Isaak Touré, whose career trajectory is decidedly disappointing, a hard blow for Lorient which opened the way for Bordeaux. Taking advantage of this advantage, Royce Openda (25th) and Ludéric Etonde (72nd) set the Lorient defense on fire, each scoring a goal.
With this success, Bordeaux takes first place in the ranking in group A of N2, just ahead of La Roche Vendée, thanks to a superior goal difference. Determined and sharp, the Girondins put in a series of serious performances.
