Two and a half years of waiting, and a collective thrill with every step. The Spotify Camp Nou was back in the light, and FC Barcelona did not miss its big comeback. Carried by a stadium vibrating with emotion and a scenography worthy of great nights, Hansi Flick’s men delivered a recital (4-0) against Athletic Bilbao. History will record that Lewandowski, Ferran Torres and Fermín wrote the first lines of the new culé chapter. Three scorers, three symbols of the Flick era.

Lewandowski leads the way

The scene was set, the party was launched, and Barça wasted no time in making its new venue vibrate. From the 4th minute, Eric Garcia, converted into a sentry, scratched a ball and served Lewandowski, who shot Unai Simón at the near post. A goal with a taste of history, recalling that the first match at Camp Nou in 1957 also opened with a Polish achievement. Athletic, groggy, suffered from Catalan domination. Ferran Torres saw a goal disallowed for offside, Fermín and Olmo missed the break. Opposite, Nico Williams and Unai Gómez tried to react, without ever fooling the vigilance of young Joan Garcia.

The moment of grace came just before the break. In a match that became more clashing, Lamine Yamal brought out a luminous trivela from his lamp for Ferran Torres, launched alone towards the goal: 2-0. The Camp Nou was exultant, aware of witnessing the founding act of a new cycle. At the restart, the scenario turned into a demonstration: Fermín, again, took advantage of Eric’s recovery to score the third goal (48th). A few seconds later, Oihan Sancet, guilty of a killer tackle on Fermín, saw red after VAR intervention. Athletic was definitely sinking.

Total control until the end

At 10 against 11, the Basques only had their courage to oppose the Blaugrana tide. Flick managed, launched his youngsters – Casadó, Dro, Bernal – and savored the moment. Raphinha, given a standing ovation for his return, brought his energy before Ferran Torres completed the festival at the very end of the match (90th). 4-0, as a symbol of newfound power.

Between the triumphant return to their stadium and the renewed play, Barça had a perfect evening. Flick, faithful to his pragmatism, knew how to combine emotion and rigor. Lamine Yamal delighted, Ferran and Lewandowski scored, and the public found what they expected: a team that plays, that wins, and that inspires. This November 22, 2025, the Camp Nou reopened its doors to a bright future.
