It has become a habit: Franck Haise still has to deal with a multitude of absences for a football match. League 1. Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Moïse Bombito are out, while no risks will be taken for Hicham Boudaoui and captain Dante.
The OGC Nice coach took stock of the state of the troops. “ There are some that I still haven’t seen since their return from selection, but we already know that Hicham (Boudaoui), who did not play with Algeria and returned at the start of the week, will not be fit (hip bone). For Tanguy (Ndombele), we are settling small things, but I don’t think he will be able to be in the group. There is Dante who has taken over. It had been a month since he had any group training. He resumed in a lighter manner on Tuesday, and yesterday (Wednesday) he did the common part of the session, even if it was very short. I’m already happy to have him back in team training. Afterwards, over three and a half months, he has few group sessions and none for a month, so I cannot put him in danger and start him too quickly. He needs to get some good feelings back. For me, it will take a few more sessions…“.
An eleven still tinkered with
Nice should present itself in its usual 5-3-2 formation, with Clauss and Bard in their roles as pistons on the sides. Mendy, Bah and Opping could form the three-way defense in front of the irremovable Diouf. In the middle, Vanhoutte and Boudaoui could accompany the man in form of the moment, Diop. Finally, in front of a tandem composed of Gouveia and Ali-Cho is expected.
The expected line-up for Nice: Diouf – Clauss, Mendy, Bah, Oppong, Bard – Vanhoutte, Boudaoui, Diop – Gouveia, Ali-Cho.
