Broadcaster in recent years of the final of the Copa Libertadores, the equivalent of the Champions League in South America, the L’Equipe channel loses the TV rights to this meeting when it concerns PSG… Luis Enrique’s team will try to win a sixth trophy in 2025, on December 17 in Qatar, during the Intercontinental Cup, after the 2024 Champions Trophy (played on January 5, 2025), Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the C1 and the European Super Cup.
PSG is directly qualified for the final of the Intercontinental Cup and will know its opponent on December 13 at the end of the meeting between the Pyramids, the Egyptian African champions, and the winner of the Copa Libertadores. M6 announced the broadcast of the final scheduled at the Al-Rayyan stadium, after having had a huge audience success during the C1 final between PSG and Inter.
The outcome of the Copa Libertadores has been proposed by the L’Equipe channel in recent years during the coronations of Botafogo in 2024, Fluminense in 2023 and Palmeiras in 2021. Canal+ Sport broadcast the 2019 final won by Flamengo and it was RMC which broadcast the 2018 return final at the Bernabéu, between River Plate and Boca Juniors.
Zack Nani still succeeds the L’Equipe channel
It is the streamer Zack Nani who achieves a new masterstroke by offering the Palmeiras-Flamengo final on his (free) Twitch and YouTube channels, on Saturday November 29 (4 p.m. in Lima, 10 p.m. in France). The same goes for the final of the Copa Sudamericana, the second competition of the South American confederation, between Atletico Mineiro and Lanus, this Saturday (9 p.m.).
Not content with offering three free posters of the Saudi championship per week (like DAZN) as well as the matches of the France Espoirs team – exclusively and this, succeeding the L’Equipe channel -, the Lyon content creator is therefore turning to South America. The Copa Libertadores final will be of interest to many PSG supporters.
