There
Democratic Republic of Congo is living a waking dream. The Leopards are emerging as a real sensation in African football after blocking the path of two big names on the continent, Cameroon then Nigeria, during the continental play-off mini-tournament.
But there will remain an obstacle to overcome to see the DR Congo definitively validate this ticket for America. Chancel Mbemba and his teammates will know their opponent this Thursday afternoon, after the draw for the play-offs.
Thanks to its FIFA ranking (60th), the Democratic Republic of Congo is already qualified for the play-off final and will therefore play its place at the World Cup in a match, in the same way as Iraq,
57th in the FIFA rankings.
An affordable play-off opponent for DR Congo
A first good news to which is added a second in view of the forces present, since all the potential adversaries of the DR Congo seem largely within its ropes.
Jamaica, New Caledonia, Suriname and Bolivia are the four nations likely to cross paths with the Leopards next spring. The DRC will be fixed in a few hours.
