At 34, Antoine Griezmann is still very much talked about on the transfer front. The Mâconnais, however, recently extended his contract with Ateltico Madrid until June 2027 and clearly expressed his wish to continue playing in MLS.
“People always talked about me. From the time I arrive until I leave, this will always be the case. But, like I said, I feel very good here. Everyone knows that MLS is my dream, my goal, but I still have a contract, I want to respect it and stay important,” he confided to this effect in an interview with AS.
However, the name of the French world champion is once again mentioned on the Marseille side. The fault of the Phocéen journalist Romain Haering, who mentioned the winter transfer window for OM at the café.
“Why not a little one and a half year contract? »
“I would say we need an experienced guy, around 30, who can play number ten for example. The one who scored us the goal against Atalanta for example, Samardzic. He is a player who can play in this register,” he confided to begin with, adding: “A player like Griezmann for example is typically what we need. I don’t believe in it anymore but the timing, what’s happening at Atlético where he plays less… If we manage to seduce the player and his entourage, why not a little one and a half year of contract and a departure for MLS then? »
A great OM specialist, Karim Attab in turn raised the Griezmann subject. “Not heard of Griezmann. Afterwards he remains a “sea serpent” since he likes OM we regularly send him to Marseille. Maybe one day it will happen. But I don’t know about it yet.”he explained.
