Forced to deal with this sequence of competitions, the Algerian coach decided to make strong choices, with the African Cup of Nations remaining the main priority. Therefore, the former Bordeaux coach announced that Riyad Mahrez and Houssem Aouar will not play the Arab Cup.

“ Mahrez and Aouar have the qualities to play in the Arab Cup, but I will not approve of their participation in this competition. What is certain is that both will be affected by the CAN”explained Petkovic. An assumed and completely logical choice.
