Germany wins

There was real danger on the Mannschaft this Monday evening in Leipzig, while Germany hosted Slovakia in the final act of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Threatened with a play-off like Italy in the event of a setback, Julian Nagelsmann’s selection did not tremble, winning 6-0 thanks to goals from Woltemade (18th), Gnabry (29th), Sané, twice (36th, 41st), Baku (67th) and Ouedraogo (79th).

Next summer in the United States, Mexico and Canada, four-time crowned Germany will therefore compete in the 21st World Cup in its history (in 23 editions). With the ambition to do much better than in 2018 and 2022 when the Mannschaft was unable to overcome the pitfall of the first round.
