Could Didier Deschamps reconsider his decision? Arriving on the bench of the Blues in 2012, the coach will end his mandate after the 2026 World Cup. “I have been here since 2012 and planned until 2026, for the next World Cup, but it will be my last, because you have to know how to stop at some point”he confided to TF1 at the beginning of January.

This upcoming departure seems to be a real heartbreak for “DD”, according to Kevin Diaz. At the microphone of After Football on RMCthe consultant believes that it would not be surprising if Deschamps wanted to extend his adventure. “I think that Didier Deschamps wants to continue. I think he wants to continue like never before. I don’t know him, but I have the impression that all he wants is to stay four more years.”he explains.

However, Diaz thinks that the 1998 world champion must take public opinion into account. “He stops because he sees that there is a lot of criticism, that people can’t take it anymore. We must not forget how he signed with Le GraĂ«t, who extended it without the Comex being aware… People are fed up”he adds.

“I forbid myself anything”

The coach, however, put an end to the rumors at the microphone of
TĂ©lĂ©foot recently, also discussing its international future. “Contacts with a club in Saudi Arabia? I was able to have contacts. Not especially with them, I’m not going to name names, but they know my situation.”he indicated.

“Fairly regular contacts? You’re curious… From the moment I made a decision, and I won’t go back on it, it’s clear and clear. After the scheduled deadlines, I will be free and I am not forbidding myself anything”added Deschamps, leaving the door open to an adventure in the Saudi championship.
