The Coupe de France never ceases to surprise, but what Plouvorn achieved this Sunday in Vitré will go down in history. Led 1-0 since the start of the second half by AS Vitré (N3), the players of AG Plouvorn (R1) seemed condemned to leave the competition. Until their guardian, Aurélien Deniel, decided to rewrite the scenario.

On the very last action of the match, climbing into the area for a final attempt, the Breton goalkeeper simply scored… an acrobatic return. A totally crazy move, perfectly executed, which sent the ball into the back of the net and the supporters into another world. An equalizer in the 95th minute, on the road, against a team playing a cut above: already a feat in itself.

But Plouvorn did not stop there. Carried by this unreal momentum, the visitors then dominated the penalty shootout, winning 4-3. A historic deliverance and qualification for the 8th round of the Coupe de France, obtained in the most improbable conditions.

For Deniel, the hero of the day, this goal will remain as a unique moment in a career. For Plouvorn, it is a memory engraved in the legend of the club, already author of a second consecutive exploit away from its bases after a previous success away.

Raw emotions, an insane scenario, a returning goalkeeper: the magic of the Coupe de France has struck again. And Plouvorn can dream bigger.
