It seems that Lamine Yamal is determined to put an end to this situation.
After playing two matches in September, despite the pain, Hansi Flick criticized Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente for not taking care of the young player. The latter retorted that Flick lacked empathy. Lamine Yamal then missed the October international break to recover from a sports hernia and is again absent from the Spain squad after receiving further treatment on Monday.

Following this treatment, FC Barcelona claims to have sent the medical report, which recommends a rest of 7 to 10 days for Lamine Yamal, to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). President Joan Laporta indicated that it was normal to treat an unavailable player and that he must be preserved.
Spain issued an outraged statement on Tuesday, confirming that Lamine Yamal was exempt from selection due to his injury, but expressing “surprise and dismay” at only being informed of the news late on Monday evening. In the hours that followed, de la Fuente gave three separate interviews, expressing his own surprise at the situation.
Lamine Yamal calls for appeasement – ahead of duel with Lionel Messi
However, the two parties will have to find common ground in the months to come. According to the daily AS, Lamine Yamal has made it clear to Barcelona that he wants to be present for the Finalissima in March, where Spain will face Lionel Messi’s Argentina. He asked Barcelona to resolve its differences with the RFEF by then, believing that it was at the heart of a conflict that it did not provoke. The president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzan, and the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, will therefore meet to discuss the issue.
