Karim Adeyemi received a criminal order a few weeks ago for illegal possession of weapons. According to information from Bildduring a check, the police allegedly found in his possession two prohibited objects: a brass knuckle and a Taser-type electrical device. German weapons law prohibits the acquisition, possession and carrying of this type of object, offenses punishable by fines or sentences of up to three years in prison, or even ten years in the case of the use of brass knuckles. In this case, the Hagen public prosecutor’s office opted for a criminal order and the BVB winger will have to pay €450,000 to the public treasury, corresponding to 60 day fines of €7,500 each, an amount calculated on his net income. He will be registered in the central federal register, without being considered criminally convicted.
Questioned by the German media, chief prosecutor Michael Burggräf confirmed the existence of a criminal order aimed at “a 23-year-old professional player” and specified: “This was issued by the local court in Wetter and became legally binding on October 30, 2025.” Adeyemi himself has not commented on the matter at the time of publication. His lawyer, on the other hand, indicated that he could not respond within the deadline set by the media and added that the accusations would concern a “mystery box” ordered on TikTok, without further details.
