Already qualified for the World Cup after
its great success against Ukraine on Thursday evening (4-0)the French team is back at the other end of the continent for its last one of the year. The Blues challenge Azerbaijan in their home this Sunday, in the early evening (kick-off at 6 p.m.).

Unsurprisingly, Didier Deschamps will carry out a large rotation for this last international meeting. Its composition should even be similar to a real workforce review. Changes are expected across all lines, including at goalkeeper.

Lucas Chevalier, understudy for Mike Maignan.

While he is going through a very delicate period in his first months at Paris Saint-Germain, Lucas Chevalier, who is patiently biding his time in the shadow of Mike Maignan, could experience his first selection.

A well-redesigned eleven for the Blues

If the Parisian is established, he will have the right to a well-revised defense in front of him. Malo Gusto and Théo Hernandez are expected on the sides, as are Ibrahima Konaté and Lucas Hernandez in the central hinge. In the midfield, elements like Warren Zaire-Emery or Kephen Thuram could also grab playing time.

Finally, Kylian Mbappé, who only played one match a month ago, is once again excused from the second meeting. It is Jean-Philippe Mateta who should take his place at the forefront of the attack. Hugo Ekitike and Maghnes Akliouche are also expected at kick-off, as is Christopher Nkunku. Rayan Cherki should have playing time, Michael Olise will take a breather.

The expected composition : Chevalier – Gusto, Konaté (c), L. Hernandez, T. Hernandez – Akliouche, Zaire-Emery, Thuram, Nkunku – Mateta, Ekitike.
