The next few weeks will be long and intense for Achraf Hakimi. Victim of a severely sprained left ankle during the Champions League match between PSG and Bayern Munich, following a tackle by Luis Diaz, the right side embarked on a race against time with only one objective in mind: to be ready for CAN 2025.

This African Cup of Nations, which will take place at home in Morocco, will begin on December 21. And the Parisian is supposed to be sidelined for six weeks. The timing is therefore tight, but the captain of the Atlas Lions believes in it. In any case, he is giving himself every chance to recover as quickly as possible, as shown in his latest post on Instagram.

Achraf Hakimi in “Kobe Bryant” mode

Achraf Hakimi appears combative and determined, multiplying the exercises in the treatment room. Cycling, core training, weight training: the Moroccan international (27 years old) does not spare himself, despite the boot which always protects his joint. And to motivate himself, he accompanies his efforts with an inspiring reading, the book Mamba Mentality of the late Kobe Bryant.
