Spain did not fail this Saturday in Tbilisi, as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Ultra-dominant, La Roja won 0-4 at the expense of an overwhelmed Georgia.

Oyarzabal, author of a double (11th, 63rd), Zubimendi (22nd) and Ferran Torres (34th) carried the Spanish armada, which barring a cataclysm will indeed play the World Cup next summer.

In three days, against Turkey, the Spaniards in front of their home crowd will not have to lose by more than six goals to validate their place across the Atlantic. A highly improbable scenario.

Georgia-Spain, the lines at kick-off

The Georgian eleven: Mamardashvili – Tabatadze, Lochosvili, Goglichidze, Gocholeishvili – Kiteishvili, Mekvabishvili, Mamuchashvili – Davitashvili, Zivzivadze, Kvaratskhelia.

The Spanish eleven: Simon – Porro, Cubarsi, Laporte, Cucurella – Zubimendi, Fabian Ruiz – Baena, Merino, Ferran Torres – Oyarzabal.
