After its painful victory against the Faroe Islands (3-1) this Friday, Croatia qualified for the 2026 World Cup, thanks to the achievements of Gvardiol (23e), Musa (57e) and Vlasic (70e), who responded to Turi’s opening score (16e).

The Croats thus join England and France, the two other qualified European countries.

It’s almost made for the Netherlands

At the same time, the Netherlands held off Poland in Warsaw (1-1), and thus keep three points ahead at the top of Group G over their evening opponent, in addition to a clear goal difference (19 against 6). Kaminski had nevertheless opened the scoring for the Poles (43e), but the inevitable Depay responded to him after returning from the locker room (47e).

The Batavians will have to validate their qualification on Monday against Lithuania.
