Good news for Canal+ subscribers who benefit from Apple TV programs in their bouquet. From next year, Major League Soccer – the elite of North American football – will be available without additional subscription.
Until then, Apple TV, in terms of its distribution in France, had relied on an MLS pass marketed additionally, at the somewhat prohibitive price of 13.99 euros per month. The Lionel Messi effect not having had the expected impact, the American giant chose to integrate its championship into the basic offer. A boon for Canal+ which sealed a partnership with the apple brand last year.
See you in February
From February 2026, Inter Miami of the eight-time Ballon d’Or – which recently confirmed its renewed commitment to the Florida franchise – and all the reference teams in the United States will therefore be within the reach of subscribers of the encrypted channel.
In 2022, Apple acquired the rights to Major League Soccer for the entire planet. For a decade (2023-2032) and for a nice check for 2.5 billion dollars (around 2.15 billion euros). If not via Canal+, Apple TV is available in France at a monthly rate of 9.99 euros.
